Pacheco is the first instrumental song composed, recorded, and produced by Bleek Noir.
After a short break that followed the release of the "Sounds Behind the Night" EP, - 3 tracks which each received airplay on BBC Introducing - and the single "Under My Nails", which was similarly championed by the station, Bleek Noir began exploring instrumental music.
Inspired by players such as Will Sergeant, Marc Ribot, Omar Rodríguez-López, Tó Trips, Nels Cline, and Jazz and Rockabilly masters, Fox offers a unique take on guitar-based instrumental music, that is both refreshing, yet distinctively, and undeniably "Bleek Noir'.
No blues-rock/shred wig-outs here.
Bleek Noir's instrumental work, like its vocal-output, is an angular, cinematic onslaught of melodic hooks, and a universe all of its own.

Written long before it was recorded, after returning home from Mexico, inspired by the latin influence in the music I'd heard - and hit by the train that was by my usual overconsumption of marijuana after a long 11 day break - Pacheco is, to me, a twisted, somewhat psychedelic melding of musical worlds.
As a passionate lyricist, I've always avoided writing instrumental music, and felt that I didn't have the "voice" on guitar to not just sound like another blues noodler, noodling over a homogeneous track. - Something I've avoided like the plague after being that 16 year old blues fetus. - Over time, I think that has changed. While I've got something to say, instrumentally, you might hear some more of this.
Consider it music for film - for the films of your mind.
